    Howard Mann’s thought leadership in the field of international investment law is widely recognized.  He has published extensively and is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world. 


    Howard has led and participated in multiple international consensus-building processes related to investment, human rights and sustainable development. He was the senior international law advisor and co-founder of the International Institute for Sustainable Development’s ground-breaking investment and sustainable development program.


    He is also an Adjunct Professor at University of Ottawa Law School, lecturing on International Economic Law in the 21st Century.


    Howard lives in Chelsea, Québec, Canada, with his wife Julie. He is an avid skier and cyclist, and with his wife is a collector of fine art. He is the proud father of two sons.
